Spending time berbuka puasa at home on the first day of puasa, there's nothing much satisfying than looking at the table full of food.. don't get me wrong.. it's not that i want to spend unnecessarily, but since it was the first day of puasa, we all wanna get the food of our personal favorite.. and where did go? It's Bazar Ramadhan in Pekan Batu Enam, about 15 minutes drive from Kuala Terengganu Town..Somehow, this is one of the biggest Food Bazar selling juadah Ramadhan and authentic Terengganu food here.. and since it was so near to universities and factories, plus it's the first day of puasa, the crowd was crazily packed.. till it's hard for us to even walk thru the paths.. and what can we find here?
The nasi minyak..the varieties of Ikan bakar..the drinks stall..and lots of people occupying the place..the varieties of noodles..and sugarcane drinks..the fresh keropok lekor fried on the spot..the finished keropok lekor.. notice at the back where they make the lekor and straight away dump them in the hot pan..not to forget apam balik.. yummmm..There's also another portion inside the building selling all the kuih2..Varieties of kuih..The famous kuih bakar..my dad decided to buy one of the kuih..and the one who's so busy taking care of her stall.. So many choices to choose from.. it's just a matter of picking the right kuih and not to overspent on the first day of puasa..
Back home about 15 minutes before berbuka, only to find out that my om cooked Nasi Minyak for berbuka, added with the kuih and lots of Air Tebu (Sugarcane), the table was full.. and the hungry faces were so eager to 'wallap' all those food.. but what's more important was the moments that we all spent as a family berbuka, with everybody around.. it was such a good time.. and we managed to finish all the meals in no time.. heheheh! Selamat Berbuka Puasa to all!
