These photos were taken suring my visit to Penang. I guess this is rather rare scenery seen elsewhere but Penang.

I beleive I haven't seen this in KL area though there are a hill of Chinese cemetery in Cheras area.

The Chinese cemetery in Bukit Mertajam is full of people, each of them brought food to be presented at the cemetery.

The quiet cemetery turned into a fiesta, with traffic jam and stalls by the roadway..

I don't know what occasion these are..

..so if anyone has the info on the celebration or occasion.. do tell me what it is..

It's the Ching Ming festival my friend. The family will go to the cemetery to clean the tomb of their loved one. Some even provide offerings. U can read my blog for some info.
