Ramadhan is here again.. and this is the time for amal ibadah.. time for terawih prayer.. and checking out many Ramadhan dishes and bazars this whole month..

I HATE IT..

I hate it when one starts to:
1. question me how busy I am..
2. query me about what I'm suppose to do..
3. question me about where I go..
4. question me about how I should react..

SO, to whom it may concern.. I know what I'm doing.. you just go get a life.. and get a hobby too..

RUNNING ERRANDS ON WEEKEND

I just got back from Ipoh.. well, I've been running around for a one-day travel, driving my parents as they need to settle a few important matters.. nothing much to tell except that I found a really nice ice kacang.. the best so far.. it's at the Bagan Serai's wet market.. simple stall with quite an old setup.. but the ice kacang.. perggghhhh.. meletup bebb! Well, it seems that the pakcik has been making ice kacang his old life.. since standard 3.. no wonder la the ice kacang is so nice.. secukup rasa.. sedapppp... yummy2! Anyway.. a one-day journey to cover ipoh, bagan serai, back to ipoh, spend a nite at my aunt's house and back to kl the next day seems to be so tiring.. but at least I gotta spend some of my quality time with my parents.. That's the least I can do, but I like it... hehe..

WELCOMING MY NEW NIECE TO THE WORLD

It was quite a haywire morning when my brother suddenly called and told me that his wife is due.. and he was at the hospital with the 3 kiddos and noone was there to take care of the kiddos when he wanted to get in the labor room.. I just can't imagine the thought of the kiddos all alone at the waiting room, without nobody waiting for them, and my brother in the labor room accompanying his wife for delivery.. My parents were told and they are on theor way driving the car all the way from Ganu.. I quickly rushed to the hospital, and as soon as I saw the kids were all alone at the sofa, I rushed to them and be with them for a while.. all the what ifs came to my thoughts, what if someone pretended to be all nice and friendly and wanted to treat them for ice cream.. and they decided to follow.. gosh I can't imagine what will happen!! Brought them out for breakfast, and back home.. let them play and relax a bit, and soon in the evening brought them back to the hospital to see the newborn and the mom.. Thank god Mak and abah arrived in the evening so I can send the kids back to their home..Anyway, congratulations on the newborn.. still no name, but surely added the happiness to our small family again.. Welcome to the world our little princess..

THE FAMOUS SPORTSMEN

Sometimes it's quite difficult to be famous faces I guess when one doesn't have the freedom to even eat peacefully anymore. I was having a nice nasi lemak for my breakfast when I saw Lee Chong Wei and Misbun Sidek a table away from us.. who are they? One is one of the famous world top ranking badminton player and another is a living badminton legend.. and while they are busy starting to eat their breakfast meal, a few so called fans came over the table and wanted to take photos with them.. hahahha.. kesian tengah2 makan pun hafta stop for photo session.. that's the price one hafta pay for being a celebrity.. hehehheh!

MAKAN2 IN BUKIT BINTANG

It's been years since I last went to this place.. and heck.. I'm really missing this uncle's food.. and so does a few others.. Another round of open table, makan besar.. and check out what we ordered..Crazy sedapppp... No words can tell.. Guaranteed to make u go home satisfied.. and broke.. hahahahah

NEW HOME THEATRE SYSTEM

I've been promising myself to get a present for myself after months of hard work.. and today I seemed to get a perfect present for myself.. yahooo!It's been a while since I've been places to check out the price and endless comparisons on which home theatre to buy.. and at last I found one, very cool, sophisticated and up to date.. hahahah.. macam iklan pulak! It's a brand new Philips wall mounting home theatre system, complete with the subwoofer, a perfect pair for my TV.. a cool present for myself, yeahh! memang la mat Philips I am.. hahahah!
Next.. Wanna aim for Canon EOS DLSR camera pulak after this.. heheh!

ZAM'S GRADUATION

I was late for Zam2 graduation, but I really hafta be there to congratulate him on his MBA's graduation.. just a few of us were there to be with him for the graduation.. and I'm so truly happy to see him finish his masters at last.. when will my turn be? wink wink..Too many people at once occupying the areas around the main hall.. and hell, it was so damn hot that I kept sweating like pig already while waiting for him to finish the ceremony..
My lunch treat for him at Penang House.. had loads of food on the table, too bad it wasn't that good.. so I won't talk much about it.. cause that's gonna be the last I'm gonna be there.. Anyway, CONRATULATIONS to you Zam2.. Another step to PHD maybe? heheheh...

THE JB ASSIGNMENT & MAKAN-MAKANNNN!!!

I was assigned to JB for 2 weeks now.. work was so stressful although there's not so much of an output created yet.. but since not many people are that experienced, everyone seemed to be in a lot of pressure then.. Anyway, JB seems to be a foreign land to me.. I don't go down that much there.. so I was kinda lost of the updates here in JB.. well, apart from the workload and stuff, what I was really focusing into was the hunt of good food in JB.. heard lots of good stuff, but donno where to start.. Well, at last I found a big makan place complex nearby Larkin.. and it looked like I found my jackpot here. hahahahha! So what's good here?
1. Kacang Pool
Quite famous in Johor I beleive as I found a few newspaper cuttings at the counter.. Something very new for me.. and surprisingly, not bad at all! Kacang kuda cooked with minced meat in their own secret spices.. eaten with bread.. nice stuff..
2. Mee Rebus Stulang
The ever famous Mee rebus Stulang Laut opens its branch here.. and the taste is not bad at all.. ordered the special one.. and got myself 2 huge udangs on top of the mee rebus.. really nice.. but I like the muar mee rebus better.. heheh..
3. Asam Pedas
What's with the visit to JB without getting the Asam Pedas? Also tried the asam pedas with rice.. and it wasn't that bad at all.. again, like the Muar one better..
4. Laksa Johor
This is my all time favourite.. I've been cooking this my own style for quite a while now.. and now I wanna try the original one, in the own land of Johor.. and damn.. it was really superb.. may be because I love the taste of Laksa Johor so much, or may be because that stall cooked a very nice one.. too bad the portion was too small, and malu nak order another one.. hahahahah! rugiiii..
The Bakso is also nice here.. .. kira semua sedap lahhhh...

THE TEMPOYAK GIRL..

Ever seen a kid about 5-6 years old that loves tempoyak? I bet most of us don't.. but surprisingly, I already met one..Meet Mila, my cousin, only 6 but she eats tempoyak with the meal like nobody's business.. gosh! I was quite shocked at first when she took the whole plate of tempoyak and eat it with nasi.. even surprised me when my aunt told me that she asked her mom to buy the tempoyak from the market.. hahahah.. bravo budak kecikk..and when will I start makan tempoyak myself? hahahah... just can't swallow, too harsh a taste for me.. a big no-no.. hahahah

JALAN2 MAKAN DURIAN

I was on the way back to KL that we decided find a durian place for makan2.. and luckily we found one at the road side of Temerloh town.. Earlier, I was having an assignment with the people of Jengka and since Jengka is quite near to Temerloh, then, Temerloh it is.. A friend was really good in finding good durians, what with her endlesss tips of good durians, so we finally had a nice royal yellow of durian peels and great taste.. truly an awesome 'makan durian' stop.. power gilerrrr!

FOOT PATCH

Ever tried the foot patch for detox? It seems to be quite popular lately and many versions of foot patches are sold in the market.. I too tried it.. and didn't find anything different from it.. but the patch sure turns into dark brown as expected, and the smell, goshhh.. busukkk.. Question is.. does this really work? Or just another marketing con like the foor detox where you put your foot in the water and stuff some time ago? Any ideas?

STRESSFUL WEEKEND..

Another stressful weekend here.. lots of unfinished office work to do.. newsletter and document to finish.. with parents and cousins in town to entertain, endless SMSes from friends for the outings, stupid P1 Wimax that didn't work since Friday nite, unfinished spring cleaning of my house, reminder letter about leaking at my apartment, new assignment in JB starting tomorrow..
All at once.. all in one weekend.. what more can one ask? Gosh I'm so stressed.. What can I do?

FREE INTERNET, PAY ELECTRICITY

Got this from a friend.. apparently this is a signage sticked at one of the mamak restaurant in Ampang.. Internet free.. but pay electricity, ok... good catch.. and very frank.. hahahha.. dah la charge mahal and the drinks order kept flowing.. still wanna charge electricity ka mamak? hahahah.. Anybody knows which mamak is this?

STUCK IN KB..

I'm still stuck in KB for another 1.5 hours waitng for the delayed AirAsia flight back to KL.. Perghhh... dah lama AA tak buat hal..
Anyway.. out of bored waiting since the last 2 hours.. I managed to get this photo shared in FB.. Check it out.. hahahahahah! (gelak tergolek2)

Checkout the signage of this kedai.. SEKENHEND with striking green building ok!! hahhaha...I don't know whether or not this is done on purpose to attract the customers..
But if this is plain mistake out of not knowing.. then I wonder who's the advertising agency that printed this sigange.. certainly they are not helping at all.. heheheh..
Anyway guys.. if this is part of your advert strategy.. u managed to attract my attention.. heheheh..

THE 'THING'...

A question.. what if someone tells you that there is a 'thing' that's always with you all along.. more of a bad spirit? Scary isn't it? That's what my brother told me recently and he really2 urged me to heal those a.s.a.p.. I was quite blur about it myself.. so he brought me to Kelantan for a proper traditional medication.. including mandi limau and all to get rid of 'it' totally.. I don't know why, but it's hard for me to believe all these.. I know it exists butt... errr.. never mind.. I reserve my comment.. Anyway, it's more of a soul medication and stuff..hard to explain in details.. but it's for me and also for my parents.. Said to be sent by someone who's jealous of me, which immediately makes me laugh.. ME? someone's jealous og ME? hahahhahah.. why oh why.. I can never understand!! well, What did I feel? Frankly, I didn't feel any obvious difference myself, but I'm quite shocked to see strange differences on my dad.. what difference? he doesn't have his asthma already, and he's not sick in the morning as usual anymore.. less angry, and happier face now.. may be it works for some people yeahh?
So after finishing those stuff, I went back to Ganu.. just to find myself good food to eat.. the usual Ganu dishes, keropok, Nasi dagang etc.. planned to stay longer to relax.. but time doesn't permit.. so after spending some time with my beloved parents, and more time time too getting my local food..we all drove back to KL slowly..

THE SEMPORNA TRIP

Again I was assigned for an office trip to Semporna.. and this is indeed a very short trip.. but i still can't hide my excitement over the trip.. but gosh it took me forever to get to Semporna.. flew to Tawau town and hafta take a cab that took me about 1 hour ++ to the small town of Semporna.. Gosh it is a dead town at nite, and quite scary too.. I checked in at Seafest Hotel, which is quite scary too indeed.. heheheh.. but when i woke up in the morning to a very marvelous scenery.. my goodness.. so beautiful! Went for a visit at the site in Pulau Bum Bum.. and again the scenery amazed me that sometimes I felt like I'm in Caribbeans trying to find a place to stay while enjoying the sightseeing..
Lots of packages to Mabul, Mataking and Sipadan Islands.. but with the limited time I had, I barely had time to even check out the package.. What I can assure of.. I will definitely come again for the island tour.. Next time gadget... next time!!
