TOW Plants @ Sg Buloh

I wasn't well yesterday. Somehow I got a very bad headache, so I didn't plan to go anywhere. But when my friend asked me to go somewhere green and calm, I immediately agreed and we end up in Sg Buloh to check out new plants.
Since he agreed to drive, I can sit quietly in the car and take photos whenever needed. I’m really not in the mood to take photos as my headache is really killing me. We arrived in Sg Buloh at about 4pm. To my surprise, the place is quiet and empty.I was so delighted, as then I can take the time to browse thru the plants, row by row. My friend told me that my face turned happy as soon as we arrived there… what a plant freak!! Hahaha!! There are many2 rows of flowery plants as well as green plants.I’m thinking of buying water plants. It’s so peaceful here… I’m surrounded by all the greenery. Suddenly, I realized that my headache slowly vanished over the calm and serene greenery surrounding of Sg. Buloh’s landscape plants. May be that’s what I need, a break in a flora and fauna ambience or something!!
I finally bought a few water plants for my Balcony Garden. I’ll post later on the transformation of my new Balcony Garden. Time for him to drive back and find a place for berbuka.
Anywhere will do!!
My headache was totally gone by then.

TOW Berbuka @ Pakeeza, PJ

I called a friend to break fast together. Since his wife isn’t around, he is more than happy to join me and my friends for berbuka at this superb Northern Indian Restaurant in Sec 14, PJ. Located at the shop rows in front of the mosque, the restaurant called PAKEEZA has been my favorite place for berbuka at least once throughout Ramadan every year. Somehow the business is so successful they alreday occupied 3 units of the shoplots.
The place is fully booked for today.
The rows of good food, yummy yummy!
The Lamb Curry is soooo good.
All kind of sweets and kuih.
Sirap selasih is served during the dinner. This is sooo refreshing.
Got a lot on the plate.
Chatting over coffee, catch up what’s left. All the funny memories came out again... like our clan of 5 guys and a lady used to cramp TGIF in Sec 14, PJ on Valentine's day for dinner, just to find out later that all the menus are for couples.. Hahah!! What a memory...The buffet is so reasonable at only RM21.90. With that kind of price, it’s really worth the cash. Totally recommendable!!

TOW Ladies and Chicken Wings

What day is today? It's FRIDAYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!Definitely brings a smile in me!I should start planning for my weekend already.. Heheh!
Got an email from a friend. This is good to share with all.

AVOID Eating Chicken WINGS frequently - Especially Ladies
Avoid eating chicken wings frequently - ladies especially a true story...!
A friend of mine recently had a growth in her womb and she underwent
an operation to remove the cyst. The cyst removed was filled with a
dark colored blood. She thought that she would be recovered after the
surgery but she was terribly wrong.
A relapse occurred just a few months later. Distressed, she rushed
down to her gynecologist for a consultation.
During her consultation, her doctor asked her a question that puzzled her.
He ask if she was a frequent consumer of chicken wings and she replied
yes wondering as to how, he knew of her eating habits.
You see, the truth is in this modern day and age; chickens are
injected with steroids to accelerate their growth so that the needs of
this society can be met. This need is none other than the need for
food.Chickens that are injected with steroids are usually given the shot at
the neck or the wings. Therefore, it is in these places that the
highest concentration of steroids exists. These steroids have
terrifying effects on the body as it accelerates growth.
It has an even more dangerous effect in the presence of female
hormones, this leads to women being more prone to the growth of a cyst in the womb.
Therefore, I advise the people out there to watch their diets and to
lower their frequency of consuming chicken wings!
People, who receive this email, please forward it to your friends and
loved ones. I am sure no one wants to see him or her suffer!

So ladies (and gentlemen), you know what to do!! Prevention is better than cure!

TOW Ramadan Bazaar @Taman Dato Haron PJ

Today I’m gonna break fast at my aunt’s house. She’s been dragging me to join her for berbuka at her house for so long, but only today I managed to fulfill the invitation.
Before going to her house, I dropped by the Ramadan Bazaar in this area.
What a huge crowd and a long walk of stalls. As I browse thru the kuih and such, it kept rushing into my mind that this is the first place I used to stay when I started my career in KL. I stayed with my aunt and her husband for about 1 year during the early days of job hunting. She is the one that helped me with my first stay in KL, all the good and sour memories we shared together during the early days. I can’t stop thanking them two for the helps landed on me, such great memories! Thanks Cik Ja and Pak Uda.
Whoops!! I’m supposed to talk about the Ramadan Bazaar, rite? Back to the subject matter... Ramadan Bazaar is always a crowd puller. As usual, this one is also jammed up with people, but from my experience, I should really choose the best stall for me to buy the food. Unlike TTDI and Sec14, PJ where you can’t go wrong with the food, this place is somehow different. Some of the food isn’t that good, while some others can be really2 nice.
Tips for choosing good food:
- Always find the stall that invites people most. You can sense the food must be good or else people won’t bother queuing for it.
- Look at the presentation of the food. Make sure it is clean, covered and looks presentable to eat. Use common sense laaa...
- Look at how the stall is. A clean stall always reflects the owner. If they can’t keep the stall clean, how can they prepare clean food, right?
- Check out the person who sells the food. Usually a makcik with clean looks and presentable PR (always ask any questions on the food you wanna buy) will cook good food. I have a habit on checking the nails and hands of the person who sells the food before buying it.
- Don’t buy only at one stall if you just wanna try it out. Try a combination from many stalls, so you can taste it and later already know which is good and which isn’t. You can later buy from the one you trust if you’re visiting again.

Have I so many rules and restrictions, huhh? Well, it won’t harm me to be careful rite?
What’s good in store? Let’s check it out.
Somehow, this place sells a variety of BBQ Chicken the Malaysian style.
Bought myself 3 pieces of this, which costs only RM5
Ikan Bakar also sold here
Roti Jala with curry gravy. Looks yummy!
This is what they called mini murtabak. Cost RM1 a piece. Expensive considering it’s quite small.
The famous East Coast food, Sata and Otak2. Bought 3 sticks of Sata, costs me RM4.
Should I buy either Cendol or Sugarcane juice? Maybe not..
Laksa also looks nice, but not this time.Another sweet kuih to buy, Tepung Pelita/ kuih sampan. 5 for RM2.
Then, a weird but interesting discovery in Ramadan Bazaar. Nobody will probably believe this!! One of its kind!! Car seat stall in Good Bazaar.
It definitely beats the firecrackers sold in food Bazaar.
I’m done. Headed to my aunt’s house just in time for break fast. What’s for berbuka?
A whole stack of lauk to eat. Selamat Berbuka!!

TOW Ramadhan Bazaar @ Tmn Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI)

This is a place I’ve been looking forward to go. The place is strategically located within the heart of TTDI, along the shop rows behind Celcom Centre.
It is quite a huge Ramadan Bazaar that offers even a greater amount of good food for break fast. They have this campaign to bring their own container to reduce the usage of unwanted plastic bag and plastic container. There’s announcement here and there to inform the visitors, and some may even be given a prize if they are seen using their own container. Good campaign for Mother Nature. As usual, the food offered are more or less the same. There is a must list for a Ramadan Bazaar to have sugarcane juice, murtabak, popiah and nasi biryani. Why don’t anyone come out with any other different food than all these? Gives more variety to the customers I guess.
Whatever it is, TTDI Ramadan Bazaar is a place to be. Trust me, almost all of the stalls are selling good food, you can never doubt the quality of the food served here. Some of the eye catching attractions are:
Long queue for this pakcik's popiah. It must be damn good.
Ayam Berempah looks nice, served with rice.
Nice variety of things to choose for soup. Look at the types of mushrooms to choose.
Chicken BBQ to choose… with honey in bamboo stick, or Kelantan style without bamboo stick. I chose the 2nd one.
Roti John. This is nice. I bought one of this.
This is the ever famous popiah specialized in TTDI. Bought 3 of popiah basah. Somehow it’s nicer than the fried one.
Done with food shopping. Time for berbuka at one nice restaurant in Damansara Perdana.
Lights thru the tree
What’s for sahur? I had an early sahur for the first time. Still got a lot of Burger King coupons to use. So we stopped by Burger King at Petronas Damansara to fill up our stomach.Got myself a French Chicken Large Value Meal with free Chicken Royale for my friend. Yummy yummy! The drinks are refillable, so we lepak2 for a while before driving home safely. I’m really2 full. Alhamdulillah
