Movie => Susuk

I'm yet to watch Batman.. and last nite I rushed to the theatre to get the ticket.. but unfortunately it's all sold out.. and I have no choice than to watch the latest horror malay movie.. good reviews I heard about this movie.. and wanted to watch it on my own.. so here I am.. let;'s check out what the movie is all about..Synopsis:
Beauty has a price. Soraya is a young trainee nurse who is starting to feel disaffected by her life. A chance introduction to the world of glamour piques her earlier ambition to be a star. She does not succeed at first, but she is told that the forbidden practice of susuk can help. She has to make a choice whether to stay the way she is, or cross the line.... Meanwhile, Suzana is a prominent diva with an air of mystery. She has long been a practitioner of the black arts due to her use of the extreme susuk keramat. Every time she violates a taboo, a human life is required. We follow the eventful lives of these two women until we get to the true secret of this dreaded charm.

*** Well.. considering I seldom watch malay movies, this is quite a good movie to watch.. the element of horror and the movie plot is quite confusing at first.. but towards the end it kinds of wraps up the whole thing.. It makes the audience to think and concentrate on the movie and solve the puzzle.. so it's kind of interesting.. and I think the director is successful in making the film an interesting one.. Not that scary though.. so don't worry about not sleeping at nite when watching the movie.. heheeh!

Fellow Blogger Being Detained

I read in the newspaper that a fellow blogger, Penarik Beca is detained by the police a few days ago over an article in his blog.. however being released last Saturday on police bail..Resources said that he was detained under Section 4(1)(c) of the sedition Act over an article in his blog which showed a modified logo of the Royal Malaysian Police. which I have yet to see..
It's amazing how the power of blogging has become a threat to certain people nowadays.. The technology has emerged to rapidly overtake other mediums of information.. and in this case newspaper is not the only medium for people to communicate anymore..
Anyway.. everyone is entitle to their own opinions and people are more open to voice out their thoughts and wisdom over their believes.. As for me, I'm not that interested neither in political view nor in any sensitive issues, but I do believe this kind of people is still needed to balance out things.. but at the same time, everybody has to respect the borders and boundaries when conversing with the rest.. I will still move on with the sharing of my leisure activities and life.. as long as I'm happy..

The Beginning of Olympic Beijing 2008

It's officially the beginning of the Olympic Games in Beijing today, 08.08.08.. very ongg day to start with..
I missed the opening ceremony.. but I know for sure the days to come will be occupied with the sports updates and stuff.. I just hope Malaysia can at least win a gold to start a record with..

The Monthly Supplements

It's time to replenish for new supplement as the old one is already out of stock.. and this is what I managed to shop at Guardian.. the multivitamins.. I still need to buy my Fish Oil but not from Guardian.. it's so expensive here..and as I walked thru Weider store, I ended up buying protein for my gymming usage.. I still need those supplement to ensure the proper growth of my muscles.. and I got this at a ridiculously good discounts..
I need to get my L-Carnitine after this.. and also Fish Oil.. soon!

Bowling Practice @ Sunway Mega Lanes

It's time to practise bowling again and again to get my left hand used to bowling and to gain more scores.. though I'm not playing for the competition, but still the spirit of bowling is really high in me..I still remember my prime times where I can easily score 180 almost every set.. and I'm so.. dissatisfied of not having the opportunity to do that again.. may be with continuous training.. I may get my a good score being left-handed.. hehehe!Anyway, this time the practice was in Sunway Mega Lanes..so many professional players here.. it made me so uncomfortable.. but who gives a damn.. i don't care! and I kept training with my left hand although most of the time its either the left or right drain.. hehehe!I feel more comfortable bowling at IOI Mall and I think i'm gonna be bowling there from now on..

Makan2 @ Subway Restaurant Sunway

It's after gym and I was so starving.. and decided to get myself a big chunk of Subway for myself after the long hours of gym.. I decided just to tapau instead of dining in as the mall is almost closed.. and I need to go back to get my sleep.. Lots of varieties and selections to choose.. and you can always mix and match.. so I took the meatball sauce to mix with the cheese bun and put all the sauces available in store..and walllaaaa... here's my foot long subway to eat.. good food for hungry stomach.. really satisfying... heheh!

Memories Of The College Days

The moment I arrived at Ole-Ole, all the previous memories came back to mind.. Ole-Ole, located at Section 18 of Shah Alam, used to be where I stayed during my colleague years.. The location of Ole-Ole Mall used to be the stalls where we all used to dine during dinner 15 years ago, during my ITM years..As all the memories rushed back to mind, I can't help but to flashback the activities we had during those years.. how we got the Nasi Lemak from Giant, which was really2 famous during the time, and how we used to dine in KFC and sneaked a bottle of Chilly Sauce every time we git back to the hostel.. and how we lepak2 at Esso and in front of the hostels with the girls and got warned by JAIS as we were being suspected of khalwat and wrongdoings.. and how I was mistakenly called a Giant worker when I wore my favorite green tshirt.. hahahah! Oohhh.. those memories..During the time, only Giant exists in the place.. even the shop houses haven't been built yet.. now all is changed.. not only the place has Ole-Ole Mall, but also the shop houses are all surrounding the place.. and on top of that, there's even Mydin Mall here.. which makes the place so different from now.. If only these facilities were around 13 years ago, things would be much easier.. so we don't have to go all the way to Plaza PKNS to get things, or Subang Parade to shop.. If only I can turn back time.. I will study harder and enjoy life more.. as I won't be getting those anymore!

Makan2 @ The Chicken Rice Shop

Stopped by at Ole-Ole again after work for another training session.. I'm so hungry and decided to stop by at Chicken Rice Shop for the chicken.. apparetly I loveeeee the steam chicken they served here.. so I ordered the steam quarter chicken without rice for my dinner.. simply marvelous.. served with Chinese Tea.. this is good enough to fill my hungry stomach for dinner.. The place is also very nicely decorated.. so it feels nice and relaxing having dinner here..

Makan2 @ Secret Recipe

It's lunch time at Ole-Ole Shopping Complex.. a new complex situated at Sect 18 Shah Alam.. and we made our way for a quick lunch at Secret Recipe.. The place is quite interesting, but unfortunately the food is not.. They have a quick lunch set at RM10 per set for the selected menu.. complete with the Ice Tea.. I had a BBQ Chicken set.. which didn't taste at all like BBQ.. instead more like sweet and sour.. Well.. I'm not gonna eat that stuff again next time.. I'd rather have cakes here the next time I visit Secret Recipe..

Bowling Training @ Ole-Ole Shah Alam

Another Bowling Practice at Ole-Ole Shah Alam.. and this time more people participated.. and play some serious bowling... notttt! heheheh..Nothing much new but the place is quite a new place.. and they have the package 3 games for RM10.. It seems that the team is more commited and ever ready for the tournament.. and I guess they will be able to kick some ass during the competition next week.. heheeh!

Monday Blues and BodyAche

My body is all aching from the workout last 2 days in a row.. I can't even get myself out of bed this morning.. My nights these few days were all very good one.. as soon as I put my head on the pillow.. it was the time when i started to pass-out.. until morning..
But this morning seems to be quite different.. My legs were both cramped up, my body was all aching here and there it was hard for me to even get out from my bed to even go to pee.. I first woke up at 7am from the very irritating sound of my alarm clock.. but before I knew it, I just turn it off and fell asleep again in no time.. that I only woke up very2 late at 10am.. after I heard the loud ringing continuously from my cellphone.. and it was the calls from Puan Sri who woke me up.. if not god knows what time will I wake up.. hehehe!
I know I've been putting myself over limit since I became the gym member again.. It was such an intense workout since I started my gymming days since last week.. It was 1 and a half hours of cardio workout and a lot of sets of abs and legs workout.. and for someone who stopped gymming for quite a while, and now starting again.. I will have to take it easy first..
I know I need to take a rest.. but the spirit over gymming again is so high and at peak now that I will need to go to the gym again today..

The Abandoned Old Folks Home @ Jalan Pudu

While I was walking back to my car, I can't help but to notice the Old Folks Home at the side of Jalan Pudu.. It seems that the place is abandoned already since new buildings starts taking places in KL so rapidly it seems that this part of town is quite abandoned already.. I wonder how the place looks like 20 years ago.. with Pudu being one of the most famous place for the KL people to shop.. things changed now.. and I can see the empty shoplots and seats that used to be a cafe before.. the horses that used to be the children's playground is left unattended.. and it's so full of immigrants at this part of the town I started to think this is quite a dangerous place to loiter around..
At least what I usually do when I come here is to underdress.. with faded pair of jeans and old tshirts with a RM2 faded slipper.. and acts confident as if you are there frequently.. it can prevent you form being snatched or robbed..However, it's the most heavily traffic area in KL as you can pass by the route to Maluri here.. and that is what makes this part of place still have the population here.. and I still think that I'm gonna be here again for those extremely crazily cheap aquarium fishes here..

The Cheap PetFish Market @ Pasar Pudu

Still remember Pasar Pudu where I used to buy cheap aquarium fish? Well.. i went there again in the search of the Parrot Fish.. again..The market is so busy as usual.. and this time there are so many fish stalls are open as well as the visitors.. may be because of the payday early of the month..Fishes in the basin and and plastics occupying the stalls..This is what I've been looking for.. The Parrot Fish..bought 6 of them to occupy the front aquarium..The discus is really cheap here.. RM6 each.. and got myself a few additional Koi Fish as well...Checkout the sucking fish.. that's a huge one.. Need to rush back to clean the aquarium and the pond as well..

Another round of Bowling Training

It's just another round of bowling training at IOI Mall Bowling Alley.. and I'm yet to get the skills of bowling with my left hand. Considering that all these years I've been bowling right-handed, when I broke my right arm, it's simply kills my bowling days.. I used to take bowling classes back then in my college years, and bowling has been my weekly activities, apart from waterfall hopping.. then..I hafta admit that my scores were really2 bad since I started my left handed bowling.. and that means I still hafta practise twice as hard as I can to ensure my left-handed skill is at par, at least.
Just me, Fakhri and Puan Sri attended the training this time, and being one of the bowling freak, Fakhri bought himself a new set of bowling ball, shoes and glove at the bowling shop here.. which cost him RM270.. quite cheap eh? So many choices of balls to select, and the guy is making a hole on the bowling ball on the spot..I'm planning to get myself a set of those next month.. so I can have the motivation to train as much.. heheh!
