I've been very2 busy last weekend.. It's my cousin's wedding in Port Klang and I had to go back and forth to Port Klang to help with whatever we could before the wedding actually kicked off last Sunday.The house was packed with people the day before the event. Families and friends gathered to help getting ready for the gifts for the wedding. Some others were busy outside preparing for the event, i.e. setting up the chairs and tables etc. The canopies for the event is properly set-up to ensure enough people were seated during the day.Food was served delicately to cater for the guests who came for the event.People was running around helping with the events to make sure everything was in order.A kompang performance to ccomodate the bersanding event. And here's the couple on pelamin striking their best smile. And at the Grand Table for lunch.Meanwhile, A karaoke session was in place to entertain the guests.. with guest amateur artists singing the numbers. This is the chance to get to see the families again, having a good chat and catching up with what's left. Checkout the girl wearing yellow tudung in the middle, so cute, eh.. You think?? Heheh!It was a very simple yet very merry event, celebrated by the families and friends.
I had a chance to sneak a peek at the bride and groom's room.. neatly decorated. Simple yet elegant..There's also another event at night, Get-To-Know-The-Family Event. It was more personal and attended by the fellow family members only. Since this is the groom's event, it is the time for the groom the introduce the bride to the family members of the groom. Opened some of the gifts while waiting for the wedding cakes to arrive. Someone who's supposed to bring the cake really spoilt the event!! It has been a tradition in our family for so long and this is the time for the us to know the bride vice versa. Members of the family are also provided with Satay and Noodle Soup for dinner.Cake Cutting Ceremony also held at nite, only with the closest family members. To Humaizi and Sha... TOW Christmas is around the corner

Christmas is just around the corner. What I like most about Christmas must be the decorations.. and how merry the celebration turns out to be. All is set just about right, the theme, the decorations, the song, the environment.. it's all just so lovely.. It reminds me of how it was celerated in the USA during my study years.. With the snow pouring down, very generous lights lighting the houses, and the cold breezy quiet environment makes it all perfect for Christmas celebration.. Wish there there is snow here.. Heheheh!! Just to share the decorations that impressed me around town..

TOW Five Worst Cancer Causing Foods

There are some foods that people who are at high risk for developing cancer should definitely avoid. Generally, says natural health researcher Mike Adams, they should avoid foods that contain ingredients known to cause cancer, such as refined sugars and grains , hydrogenated oils, and nitrates. But which foods are the absolute worst?
The top five cancer-causing foods are:
1. Hot dogs Because they are high in nitrates, the Cancer Prevention Coalition advises that children eat no more than 12 hot dogs a month. If you can't live without hot dogs, buy those made without sodium nitrate.

2. Processed meats and bacon Also high in the same sodium nitrates found in hot dogs, bacon, and other processed meats raise the risk of heart disease. The saturated fat in bacon also contributes to cancer.

3. Doughnuts Doughnuts are cancer-causing double trouble. First, they are made with white flour, sugar, and hydrogenated oils, then fried at high temperatures. Doughnuts, says Adams , may be the worst food you can possibly eat to raise your risk of cancer.

4. French fries Like doughnuts, French fries are made with hydrogenated oils and then fried at high temperatures. They also contain cancer- causing acrylamides which occur during the frying process. They should be called cancer fries, not French fries, said Adams .

5. Chips, crackers, and cookies All are usually made with white flour and sugar. Even the ones whose labels claim to be free of trans-fats generally contain small amounts of trans-fats

TOW Terengganu and Monsoon Cup Fiesta

I got back for a short trip to Terengganu again for personal matters. This time I took a bus instead as te tickets are still available. It's been a while since I last ride a bus so i kinda blur when it comes to finding the right bus.. darn the lady at the counter.. never gave the right direction. Took Sani bus, owned by one of the 90's artist turned businessman.. It caught me by surprise that the moment I was in the bus, I totally black-out, sleeping like a baby.. and reached Kuala Terengganu at 4am.. So early!!
Dropped by the hospital to accompany my mom to her office.. To my surpise, check out the line! people waiting with a long queue just to get a number for registration. The counter lady handling the ticket number was so darn slow.. acting like nothing happened, like her grandma's place.. I wish her grandma's turning sick and she has to wait in this long line so she knows how those people lining up felt.. The Hospital must find a way to be more productive.. and these kind of old lazy people like her and the rest of the counter should be sacked and replaced by someone else who's still not having any work outside. Thank god I'm not in the line. But I ended up making such a big fuss about it to my mom as she works with the hospital..
After sending my mom to work in the afternoon, went to check out what's up with Monsoon Cup as it was the closing ceremony yesterday.. and again I was surpised.. Not much thing is happening.. and the town is like the normal days. There's a so called fiesta in a place called Taman Syahbandar.. and again.. it's quite empty.. ony few people are around.. and the stalls are just like an ad-hoc stalls.. which end up selling tudung and scarfs for the aunties.. so sad.. The lagoon where the Monsoon Cup is supposed to be held was empty, except for a not so big so called cruise ship landed ther.. it's all very pathetic.. and i just can't feel the heat.. gosh!! Is this waht we called international event? It's sad... really!!! I ended up loitering at Batu Burok beach again, reading newspaper and enjoying the breezy wind of the sea washing my face utterly and continously..It's so refreshing.. wish KL has the beach for the KL people to feel the freashness of the sea and the cold of the wind. I'm hungry.. gotta find myself a plate of Nasi Dagang.. Yummy2!!!!!

TOW A moment in Merdeka Square

I can't beleive it.. This is actually the first time thru out my whole life I first took a goofy long walk at Dataran Merdeka. Haha! All these while it's just either a pass thru via car or a glance over the car window from far. I've been meaning to take photos of Dataran during the day and nite.. and yesterday, I managed to do that.I was actually there for Karnival Usahawan which my brother got in selling labu Sayong of Kuala Kangsar. It's a short noticed S.O.S call from my brother asking me to help him at the stall, so I went over and make myself useful there.
It's so nice here, you can see nice views of KL downtown scenery from here.. Darnnn!! I didn't bring my camera, so just took picture from my phne camera, which isn't that good a quality. Lots of activities here, from stalls selling varieties of local food to activities here and there.Kids praticing their Tae-Kwon_Do movements and the below one with Inang dance.The many faces of Dataran Merdeka in the evening..(Merdeka Square)Later, Merdeka Square at nite.. beautiful!!And more.. and more.. So awesomely beuatiful.. I'm crazily taking pictures that nite.. though it's only via my camera phone.. It's so beautiful outside.. nice weather, nice place.. plus i don't know when am I gonna be here again.. errmmm.. then again, I don't think so.. heheh!
